_Cum Face.

_Photographer Stuart Sanford's 'cumfaces' - brilliant project. Very Warhol 'Blowjob' movie, check out his other stuff at myspace.com/stuartsanford or youtube his 'boyswillbeboys' movie shorts, he is also a regular contributor to 'Kaiserin' magazine. His work is quite homoerotic but in a kind of 'warm in your tummy' kinda way, lol, (I'm such a gayboy). He did have a website, but it seems to have dispeared, but keep posted for updates as to whether it returns.

_Size Hero.

Another little bit of my thesis imagery, this time Miss Ditto for Pop Magazine, issue.16. - its just an ace shoot. Loving the fact they made her look part Jewish mom part Tim Burtons Penguin part glamorous dominatrix.

_Koons.

Amazing Thanks Giving Day parade ballon, by contemporary artist du Jour Jeff Koons. I'm not too into his work on the whole (a bit too Warhol 'rip off' for me), but this is incredible, and what a place to display it - as if times square isn't amazing enough! - I genuinely love it.

_Willhelm Prt.2

_After my previous Willhelm blogging, I then went to look for other willhelm imagery, and found an ace site with all his previous look book imagery on it. all I can say really is - Forward Thinker.

Its nice to see a designer who has a strong hold on not only the mainstream market but also the undergorund market, and for him not to be affraid of doing something different, whether he be shunned for it or not.

This guy is damn talented.

_Mockery, in a good way.

_So I was chatting to a mate as going to hand in my thesis yesterday, and up telling him what I had done in preparation for it, he made the following statement -

"Alright Rob,
Put down your MacBook Pro,
Close your beautiful magazine,
And take off your Marc Jacobs back back,
why are you so eager?!"

Which, although I was being mocked, I felt it pretty much oppitomised me at the minute, so I've decided to blog those three things just to put a smile on my face.

(Memo: My backpack is infact the burgundy one of these, but I like this one too. My MacBook is the gunmetal one, but this one is buff as hell. And the magazine is a current favourite of mine - 'BookCamp' - Japanese bound, hiphop inspired, available in London only in Comme Des Garcons, and it looks ace).

_So Bernhard’s Spring '08 look book is out.

And at immediate glance you can’t help but laugh at the content of it. Before seeing it you would expect to see vogue pictures portraying Bernhard’s new creations and concept. But on his latest look book however, Bernhard mocks the macho attitude and he also kind of laughs at the entire fashion industry - Something to do with the current trend of every label evoking the slim aesthetic or the super refined silhouette, and what Bernhard does is the exact opposite.

I don’t even know if those are a macho versions of the spring pieces. I suppose some of them are, and some of them aren't, but lets be honest, for this one the clothes don’t really matter. It’s the whole concept that it’s important to understand. Apart from the analysis I manage to do, some others have said that by doing this Bernhard sarcastically portrays superhero figures that reflect America’s “current machismo” - which I also kinda like.

The model used was Francois Sagat - a porn actor who studied at the famous Chambre Syndicale and then decided to become a model and work within the fashion industry.

It’s really hard to actually analyze the new collection as if these were the spring looks. Not only because of the rather comical vibe of the look book, but because of the size and cut of the clothes. They are so gigantically big and unusual that is hard to imagine them as if they were off the rack items.

But to be honest, who cares,
It's Willhelm,
So its ace.

_Just before sleep

_If i could be anywhere right now I would be in the above apartment, watching the sun going down from one of those huge mid-century modern sofas. the place belongs to someone who goes by the name P2an and I found these images on a friends blog. This beautiful apartment is in Amsterdam, and Im completely jelous.

Check out the other photos of his place @ _http://www.flickr.com/photos/artifice/sets/72157594153645992/

_Homme+ 00/01

_Its currently 3:37am and I have just completed my 10,476 word thesis, due to be handed in in about 10 hours. But just before curling up into a tired little ball, I wanted to blog these images that I took for a section in my thesis. Based around the idea of mainstream culture pulling its supposed 'radidical' imagery from that of underground subculture, namely independant publishings. Anway this section was on 'the influence of homoerotic culture on the lads mag'. And if nothing else the cover of this infamous issue inspired my newly decorated bedroom - deep greys, soft white cottons and smooth skin tones with a buzz cut homoerotic edge.

_i miss it

_I miss it so badly.

Boombox, ended last week and i miss the dress up already - LDN needs something new. So in homage to Boombox I have knocked up a montage of all the photos that Alister (dirtydirtydancing.com) took of moi throughout the last year and bit. Also i'll soon be blogging the final nights gifts (how nice of them!) which my mate (adorably) picked up for me closing night.

_Chloe Sevigny II

_Just abit more Sevigny, then i'll stop for a while, i promise.

Self Service Spring Summer 2007 - the one that was all about Chloe. Amazing paparaziesque shots, beautiful simplistic styling and she just looks so effortlessly cool. The type layout in also really nice. It was the same for every Sevigny shoot in the issue (of which there were 8!) and no wonder the graphic design company that produced the issue went on to sell double A2 poster prints of quite a few of the shots, including the beautiful type layout.

i Heart.

_Sibling

I hate crappy kintwear, infact even the mention of it pretty much brings me out in a rash - earthy girls, sat knitting on public transport thinking their cool wearing far too many layered muted tones.

But. how incedible is this jumper?! produced by young brand 'Sibling' its definately a step in the right direction for contemporary knit. Mind you, would you expect anything less from the fabulous door girl of London's club dujour BoomBox?! (r.i.p.) And keep posted for more, as i like the stuff so much that i've agreed to shoot the S/S 08 look books for these guys.

_Illustrate

_Check out these awsome illustrations from information leaflets, produced by young leeds illustrator William Edmonds. such slight of touch, yet great conviction to each image produced, check out his website at www.williamedmonds.co.uk. He is also a member of ace Leeds based collective Nous Vous, of which i'll blog some work later.

_Only in LDN

_So after having a crappy thesis/non-thesis based morning in uni this morning i decided the only thing i could do to cheer myself up was to take myself down to the Stussy January sale. After deciding LDN was against me and i liked nothing in store, i left in a strop. Upon exiting the store i walked striaght into some tiny crazy orange haired lady wearing a crazy ass headband that read 'PROPAGANDA', obviously i appologized immediately, as did she, at that she told me how she 'loved' my hair (full mane was on show), for which i thanked her and complimented the colour of hers.

Then I suddenly realized, this crazy orange haired lady was infact Vivienne Westwood, dressed in head to toe new season Westwood, in orange slouch knits and beaten brown leathers, with amazing brown tweed pirate pants and knackered old winkle pickers. She looked ace. And the hair compliment has kept a smile on my face all day.

So yeah, only London town can punch you in the stomach then pick you up and pat you on the back.
Glad to be back.

_Full of Grace

_Not sure what i can even say about Grace Jones,
Fashion Icon.
Inspiational feminist.
Crazy bitch.

But no one can deny the fact that the woman had good style.
And, knew how to make an amazing album cover, even way back when. So, so inspiring.

_Memo

_Some shots from my personal note books - Im mildly addicted to notebooks. It has been worse it the past, its calmed down a bit at the minute, but they are ace to look back on and be inspired by. These shots show everything from personal wants, to shoots I assisted on when working for Pop magazine, to playlists for mixtapes.

If you dont already do it, get on it.

_Beautiful Loser

_Just wanted to blog some Ed Templeton images, these were taken from an exhibition he was part of at the Baltic in Newcastle last year (all taken from his 'Goat' book). The exhibition was 'Spank the Monkey' - bad name, ace exhibition. other artists included Dr ink (increbible mexican tattoo artist) and an amazing Barry McGee installation.

Keep posted for more of the 'Beautiful Losers' work, some of my favourite graphics have come out of these guys in the last ten years, and that of currator Adam Rose for NYC's Alleged Gallery (the first gallery to show Richardsons work in the mainstream) The Alleged Gallery is also the space where Chloe Sevigny was cast for Larry Clarks 'Kids' - such an amazing 90's NY scene - must blog more.

_Wahlberg Worship

_Just give me a moment for this.

90's style/body icon.
Funny as hell rapper.
Awsome Actor.
And NO ONE looked better in those CK's than Marky Mark.

Damn.
