_Designed by American architect Peter Marino, the 10 story, 56-meter high building is located on the elite Chuo-dori Avenue. The store opened December 4, 2004. The building also features the Chanel Nexus Hall, a concert hall and exhibition space, as well as a restaurant by world renowned French chef Alain Ducasse, and 1,300 square meters of boutique featuring exclusive Chanel items. The glass facade is embedded with 700,000 light-emitting diodes. The first of its kind, the facade of a building becomes a giant screen displaying custom designed animations at night.
