_Catch up Day

_Apologies, I haven't blogged in over a week. Its been ridiculous - I was in Paris for the menswear shows last week (photos to follow), then have have stupid busy amounts of work to do since being back, but having partied hard at the Grace Jones after party last night (Man that OAP can Vogue!), today I'm having loungey down time in big sweats to catch up.

So, Hi,
Welcome back,
And enjoy...

_Hotel Chevalier: Paris, Marc, Yellow

_Wes Anderson's short film "Hotel Chevalier" is absolutely lovely, and it makes me want to go go Paris for the menswear AW09 shows SO badly.

Sigh. I miss Paris. I could board a plane RIGHT NOW and spend a few days snuggled up in the hot pink carpeted gloriousness that is the Hotel Amour. I'd take my petit déjeuner at the Rose Bakery and then walk around for hours until I made it to the Palais de Tokyo for some art browsing, book buying, and a tidy salad at Tokyo Eat. I'd then wander aimlessly again, maybe stopping for some macarons (pistachio, anise, and rosewater) at Laduree before finding my way to Deyrolle where I'd hang out with a lion or a cougar...or maybe the zebra if he's not tied up. There would absolutely be a stop at my favorite bookstore on the planet, Shakespeare & Company. I would make sure not to leave before typing a poem on the ancient typewriter hidden up the stairs. Dinner would then be three courses at Astier followed by some selections from the biggest cheese basket in the world (a basket three times the size of your head!!!), and then a long walk home in the twinkle that is Paris after dark.

Oh, Paris. J'taime.

_Luella Newspaper on Vogue.com

_I got an email from a friend last night, linking me to the blog side of US Vogue.com, this is what it read:

"Luella, The Magazine?
Jan 19, 2009 @ 7:43am

Here's a fun rumor coming in from London:

Luella the movie already exists, but now Luella Bartley is making some
sort of magazine or newspaper.

The coolest designer we know is casting Bright Young Things of London
to then cast the Bright Young Things of downtown New York for various
creative tasks from illustration to editorial photo shoots, to be done
on location at rich kids' Manhattan apartments.

Apparantly they have former Teen Vogue employee styling? and that's
really all we know, because London is five hours ahead of us and they haven't
emailed us back yet.

But as long as we're on the subject, rumour has it that Jourdan Dunn
is on the cover!!! - YES Please!!! and here's hoping they get it
stateside as soon as possible!"

Mental right?!
How much do I love being described as 'a bright young thing' of London!? and where the hell has the info about where its been shot come from!? - truely out of the pages of 'Gossip Girl' right?

Also how did they know about Jourdan on the cover?! -
Are they checking www.rbpmfanzine.blogspot.com?! (The only place its been previewed)

Strange.
But,
BRILLIANT non the less.

_Sleeve Design

_I have no idea where I found this book cover design, but its just lovely - reminds me of a more primitive 'Work in Progress' design, infact maybe it is? but I'm pretty sure it isn't, anyway its just lovely. And if I remember where its from, I will update.

_Jason Nocito does it again

_So Jason has recently shot me some stuff for 'Johnson' but berfore I preview that, I just wanted to post some of his incredible images of 'Bat for Lashes' shot in Nevada this summer - they're just incredible and have Nocito all over them, the styling is also beautiful - watch this space - the guys going a LONG way.

Check more at: www.jasonnocito.com

_ Hedi does YSL

_This image melts me.

Not only is it the beautiful private office of Yves Saint Laurent but it was shot by Hedi Slimane just after YSL's death in November last year. His tone of imagery fits so well to the feeling of the apartment.

_Sang Bleu Magazine

_Another of my current favourite magazines, my published out of Switzerland and New York its just lovely.

The design of Sang Bleu III/IV is widely based on the Sang Bleu BP set of titling face, the Romain BP, both developed by B&P and designed by Ian Party, and the New Fournier BP designed by François Rappo. More info can be found on www.bpfoundry.com

oh, the issue shown above launches in Paris this fashion week, so check it out
Check it: www.sangbleu.com

memo: if you live in East end of London, you may notice the cute as hell cover star Louis, and you may even remember him as one of the assistants of the late 90's chanel4 reality show 'The Salon' (although back then he was all blonde, cute and a damn sight less tattooed)- Ace, I love my shite pop culture knowledge.

_Want Want Want

_So I'm currently doing some graphic illustrations for an LA based clothing brand (more info later) but researching for that led me onto finding these cute as hell 'black cherub candle sticks', and considering I'm also currently watching the Obama inauguration it all seems very apt. ;)

_Pinups Magazine

_Is currently one of my favourite publications - Its a great little 'bearcub' fanzine printed out of New York that I picked up a few years ago when they were on thier first issue - since then (they are now on issue eight), it seems to have grown into a beautifully tight and coherent publication, with each issue folding out to a life size poster of its cover stars.

Ace.

_Chanel T's

_Almost gone!

I got about 3 left,
£20.00 plus postage,
gimmi a shout if you want.

www.rbpmstudio@googlemail.com

_Next up, Kate

_Well, I'm thining about it - I'm currently having more Chanel T's printed (stay Tuned for the specific design) as the original Chanel T's (post above) have nearly all gone. But this is the next print I'm considering - As before, ace Screen printed T's limited to 20, £20.00 per T plus postage.

Holla: www.rbpmstudio.googlemail.com

_For Christopher . . .

_Along my theme of more T&A on RBPM - Today we have a few shots from my biggest collection - Floridian strippers. I have around 40 shots, all taken in the same club in Florida between 1987 and about 1994, showing everything from the girls on stage, to them in the dressing rooms (aka toilets) and even the girls in the clubs very own 'soap booth' - Stay tuned.

Mr Simmonds, I hope you're liking these ;)

_Gary Shilling

_Aswell as the strange prints i mentioned below, I also got this 9X12" photographic print from the Antiques Market on Thursday - its just so strange - posed like a school photo, but just in (i can only assume) this kids lounge. The look of suprise. The dirty fingers. the background patterns. Its just wierd. Yet, so brilliant - it reminded me of Gummo. And on the back it has someones handwriting that reads 'Gary Shilling, Beattie' - ideas?

_A little assistance. . .

_Does anyone know who these boots are by? I think they're last season YSL, but cant seem to find them anywhere and I want them SO badly.

Holla: rbpmstudio@googlemail.com

_Mary-Kate

_You've just got to love her. I've recently become mildly obsessed by 'Weeds' (see below) in which she kinda stars in the 3rd season. But without that - girls just got mad skills - incredibly beautiful 21 year old actress, head of her own production company, head of her own fashion range (that last year blew Paris away) and to top it off - She's got THE nicest apartment in Greenwich Village - Whatever, maybe I dont admire her, maybe I'm just Jelous.

'Weeds':
When her husband, Judah, dies of a sudden heart attack while out with his ten-year-old son, Shane, Nancy Botwin finds herself in a financial crisis. With no other option available to her, she turns to Conrad Shepard and his family to sell cannabis, using a fake bakery to move the goods. Aided by her wayward black-sheep brother-in-law, Andy (Judah's younger brother), she struggles to keep her new means of bill-solving secret from suspicious PTA members and her nosy neighbors as well as from her children, Shane and his teenage brother, Silas. Coping without Judah as the patriarch of the family reflects in the Botwins, especially Shane, who is going through the painful process of growing up without his dad, with Andy as the reluctant and rather poor substitute for father-and-son topics that go with growing up.

_I'm Currently Watching . . .

_'Interview with the Vampire' - one of my favourite Films ever, its just so epic and dark and beautiful, its like a period drama crack. lovelovelove.

"A night in San Francisco, during our time: A young journalist follows a man through the streets and they end up in an anonymous room. When the journalist starts to interview the man, the stranger tells him that he is a vampire, being over 200 years old. The journalist doesn't believe him, but after the man proves it's true, he tells his story: His name is Louis and in 18th century New Orleans he was 24, by this time owner of an estate and a widower already. One night, when he once again was destroying himself by drinking and other things, he was found by Lestat, a vampire, who bit him. But even after becoming a vampire, life wasn't fun for Louis until one night he met a little girl, Claudia, who should change his existance forever."

_Clean Desk

_Inspired by this image, tonight I totally cleared my desk off, and am currently sat typing at a lovely rosewood topped trestle desk, with nothing but my Mac, a felt tip pen pot, and a Diptyque candle on it - Ace.

_Err, Yes Please

_Greyscale Rubix Cube by limited Japanese cashmere brand Camoshita - I found this in a great little store in Essex of all places. And a snip at £140.00

_Chanel, The Film Short.

_Just a new little B&W video piece I'm working on, its coming soon, I currently working on cutting the film. It's based around the New Chanel T's that arrived just before christmas, Starring Model Ryan, and filmed in East London over the last week.

Stay Tuned for more.

_Today at The Antiques Market

_In between meetings I picked up these brilliant 12X9 shots - They're just so strange, both shot by the same photographer, they remind me (particually the bottom one) of John Waters film stills. They're just great, and for £4 I was a happy boy.

_For Christopher . . .

_Due to the fact he feels my blog needs "more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more!!!!!" T and A.

Here it is - I delved into my personal archives of 'vintage' pornographic photography, dated around 1988, these Spring Break wet T-shirt shots are ace - just look what the girl can do with a plastic cup! - ace. And you can expect more, and older over the next few days.

Mr Simmonds, I hope this puts a smile on your face.

_Moose Skeleton

_Simply IN-credible, how huge is this?! I dont think I could ever have it - as amazing as it it, ast the same time its really quite scary. Can imagine the size of the original full beast!?

_Black Bart Sweater

_Ace jumper by Jeremy Scott - I have no idea what collection its from, I think it may be one of his disfusion lines, kinda like the 'Mickey Sex' T-Shirts. Non the less, its ace, XXXL would look amazing.

_B does G?!

_Yep, new Beyonce Video 'Diva' and 2 of 5 five outfits she wears are Gareth Pugh - It looks strange to see such an Avant Garde British designer on someone like Beyonce, I'm used to seeing it on some Dodge Tranny down PonyStep, But stragely it looks good, and dare I say it, damn Sexy . . . only Beyonce could make Black and White plastic triangles and platform clogs look heavvvyyyy fine

_RBPM HRH

_While at home in Yorkshire I was watching some shite MTV show called something like 'The worlds most eligible bachelor princes' while watching this show I discovered Prince Carl Philip - The cute, 28 year old Graphic Designing, surfing, and buff as hell Prince of Sweden, at this point I decided I should marry, and therfore become a Prince.

Must put wheels in motion, asap, yum.

_Shipping Container

_What a brilliant idea for a dining room - I've seen houses done like this before, but never as clean and as nicely as this - I think it would work really well as an 'extension' idea, so maybe a two storey cointainer, locked to a building, with those lovely glass ends.

_World Archive

_The 'World Archive' Section on the third floor of Dover Street Market is one of my favourite places in the world for inspiration, its just ace - Tribal garments, feathers and beading mixed with over prints and stupid graphics - its just brilliant, and the poster in this shot is one of my favourites - Hand Screen printed, signed and numbered of 50. I have number 24 hung over my bed, and it makes me so happy.

_Want Want Want

_how ace is this Tibetan head piece?! - Its as epic as my current hair, and would take no effort at all to pull on on a morning.

Lovely,
Just lovely.

_Interview, February 1992

_I'm really annoying myself with this issue - I KEEP ON MISSING the end of the bidding on it on ebay - I've done it at least 5 times now, 3 of them over Chirtmas alone, and its the only issue (at the minute) that I really really want.

GAY.

_I'm Currently Watching . . .

_'Ken Park' its so FREAKIN' good. 2002, Screen Play by Harmony Korrine and Directed by Larry Clark.

"Ken Park focuses on several teenagers and their tormented home lives. Shawn seems to be the most conventional. Tate is brimming with psychotic rage; Claude is habitually harassed by his brutish father and coddled, rather uncomfortably, by his enormously pregnant mother. Peaches looks after her devoutly religious father, but yearns for freedom. They're all rather tight, or so they claim. But they spend precious little time together and none of them seems to know much about one another's family lives. This bizarre dichotomy underscores their alienation # the result of suburban ennui, a teenager's inherent sense of melodrama, and the disturbing nature of their home environments. "

_Comme Warsaw . . .

_Its just as lovely as the rest of the Guerilla Stores, I dont know why i'm suprised - It closed over the Christmas break, but check the website to see the others and check up on where the new ones are popping up.

_Yum

_A slightly cleaned up, lightly tattoed, and serious fine picture of Devendra Banhart - just something nice to end my evening of blogging with ;)

_This Weeks Hair

_This week I have an entirely new set of inspirations for my hair - it mixes the cult of overly long horse tails (due to my new 28" weave). Boys with piled and scruffy Marie Antoinette hair, and the ace bottom image of model Cole with the Justine from 1990's band 'Elastica' fringe - Question, should I undercut my 23" hair? it'd make it much easier to put up, then I could also work this 'Justine' look properly.
