_"HERCULES IS THE NEW FASHION AND STYLE LUXURY BIANNUAL FOR MEN. LAUNCHED IN OCTOBER 06, HERCULES IS A NEW REFRESHING PUBLICATION THAT OFFERS A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW, FOR A READER THAT KNOWS HOW TO APPRECIATE THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE. TAILORED TO MAN CONSCIOUS OF STYLE, CULTURE AND THE SOCIAL LIFE AROUND HIM. HERCULES IS ABOUT FEELING GOOD, LOOKING GOOD, CHALLENGING YOURSELF AND LIVING IN THE PRESENT..."

I just like the layout, this seasons 'You Better Work It' issue is just SO nice - hand type, mixed with agressive text, over pixelated cropped images and cute B&W shots of up coming boys in thier tighties.

Ace.

_Its only been 24 hours . . .

_And already I miss waking up in the sunlight of the Yorkshire dales - DAMN IT.

_Carpet Pamela

_I dont know what it is about Pamela Anderson but photogrpaher love to have her on the carpet - maybe its a sexy layed down thing, maybe its a carpet sponsor or maybe, just maybe, its a 'gravity issue' for her 'puppies'

Non the less, both of these images, David Lachapelle on top and Ellen Von Unworth below, are two of my favourite images of her - she looks incredible, like a broken doll. Both such beautiful images.

_Willhelm SS08 Promo

_I just found this today - Its just brilliant - Bring back Francois Sagat as the Willhelm poster boy - He's just brilliant for it, so different to everything else out there - plus which other fashion brand could get away with using the most famous Gay Skin Porn Actor as thier campaign boy?!

Bring Back Francois!

_Boyo Fanzine

_Boyo is just lovely, its basically all like these above images - full picture Fanzine, Im not sure it deserves a full fanzine for just collages (as nice as the collages are) but its just a really nice bit of graphics, I think it could work really nicely as a fashion story within a regular fashion mag - mess it up a bit.

_Tomorrow is . . .

_Back to London.
And straight back to work.

Roll on a New Year of career focused hard work!

_SHAUN! hurry back to London . . .

_I miss my favourite bag! ;)

_New Favourite thing to do . . .

_Everything, on the floor.

Sleeping,
Working,
Reading,
Napping,
Talking on the phone.

I have no idea why, maybe its that whole 'childhood' thing again but i have a constant pile of cusions a great cashmere blanket just in a pile on my bedroom floor - perfect.

_Today I spent my day . . .

_Sorting through over 10 years years worth of homes recorded VHS tapes - such a walk down memory lane, and it felt SO retro, I taped everything from entire summer holidays worth of Moesha, Heart Break High and Bug Juice, to ten years worth of every Brit / MTV / VMA and MoBo awards, all with 'specially illustrated' labels - I'm such a PoP Culture Geek.

Non the less, it was time to enoy, and let go, and by the end of the day I had got rid of over 100 VHS tapes, and kept a mere 20. Aww, how ace are childhood memories.

_I'm Currently Watching . . .

_The 1972 John Waters classic, 'Pink Flamingos' Released on March 17th, it was an instant cult classic, and one of my favourite films ever... "Sleaze queen Divine lives in a caravan with her mad hippie son Crackers and her 250-pound mother Mama Edie, trying to rest quietly on their laurels as 'the filthiest people alive'. But competition is brewing in the form of Connie and Raymond Marble, who sell heroin to schoolchildren and kidnap and impregnate female hitchhikers, selling the babies to lesbian couples. Finally, they challenge Divine directly, and battle commences.."

_Just one More

_ Alasdair Mclellan shot, for Arena Homme+ : He captures the youth of lads PERFECTLY.

And on a personal level I would kill for those LV grey and white shaved mink fur ear muffs, and the matching Gillet - YES PLEASE. I remember when it was new season 2 years back and I would call the gillet in, just so i could wear it in the office and on shoot (Bad Boy) hahaha ;)

_So Happy

_Is what this picture makes me - Such a great shoot by from the March 2008 issue of ID magazine the 'Men Issue'

Inside the March issue was an exclusive portfolio by photographer Alasdair Mclellan. It’s a real look about the seven boys that represent a masculine ideal.

And I love Kim Jones "just take your clothes off . . . .and Im done" 'styling techniques' - Perfect.

_HE magazine

_Is just a joy to read and generally look at.

Usually I have so many magazines per month I barely have time to read through them once, but He (Designed by Dutch studio Homework) is one of those magazines I just enjoy having the time to come back to. I was first introduced to it on thier 2nd issue while I was working for one of thier contributors, but back then it was the type of magazine you could only pic up in places like Collette in Paris, but now on thier 6th issue it is readilly available, and I recomend it to any lad out there - not as shiny / money as 'Vman', not as Gay as 'Homme+' and its nice to see an Eastern European mag printed in english (It seems all the good menswear mags are foreign, and therfore in other languages) - Selfish.

Check it out.

_A Request . . .

_Would a certain boy, he knows who he is, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring me one of my favourite things in the world back from LA.

_Hyde Park Picture House, Leeds

_"Despite the outbreak of war in August 1914, the Hyde Park Picture House was built and opened ready for business on the 7th November 1914. The pages of the Yorkshire Evening Post were almost enitrely devoted to news of the war but a small advert announced the opening of the new Picture House. It proudly proclaimed itself to be "The Cosiest in Leeds" and to this day this is a title we try our best to live up to."

And it does SO well, such a lovely place to spend the eve of New Years Day - curled up in the cosy red velvet seats of this 'antique cinema' with 6 great friends, a large cup of tea and the new Coen Brothers film 'Burn After Reading'

_I'm a happy boy this evening.

_Happy New Year

_Boxing Day at home

_Cold air, warm sunlight, extreme shadows (see above), gentle breeze, hot tea, and the thoughts of yesterdays glorious family and friends based day - Ace. I am so, so happy right now.

_Christmas Gifts II

_Im currently basking in the glorious smells of Diptyque candles, and couldn't be happier.

'Originally a Paris based interior design store, Diptyque made the scented candle into a modern day cult classic. Founded by three friends, it was there collective love of travel, especially to the Far East and Africa that first inspired the exotic range of scents. Initially created as a finishing touch to their interior designs. Today their diptyque scented candles have gone to be famous around the world.'

_'Rare Bird of Fashion: The Irreverent Iris Apfel'

Is the most indredible book of Apfel’s clothing, displaying the way she combines color, texture and pattern in pieces purchased at flea markets and from haute couture collections transcending the boundries of fashion. There’s truely inspiring art to her style.
