_Interview?

_I totally adore the album cover for the Marina and the Diamonds record. And this evening I discovered that it was Art Directed and designed by Mat Maitland of design agency 'Big Active' based in Shoreditch, East London. Mat, it turns out, like myself, is a massive pop culture geek, who's work always has a hyper pop element about it, and this cover is the best example of an Interview homage I've seen in a long time (it could literally be one!) - Only a true lover of Andy's magazine could produce it to this standard. Its just such a shame the band themselves are so shite. Oh, I also discovered that the promo single (bottom) was sent out in hand screened envelopes - Glorious.
